Ever Feel Like You're Being Attacked Spiritually?

Welcome to Faith Friday!

Do you ever feel like you're being attacked? Like every time you try to do something, it always seems to go wrong? Or maybe, like me, you try to start reading the bible or pray on a regular basis and a million things get in your way.

Yesterday, I decided that the kids wanting to go outside wasn't going to stop me from reading the bible. I'm trying to get through Proverbs. So, I get my cup of coffee, grab my bible and sit on the front step. Every two minutes one of the kids wanted my attention. Usually, when I go outside they ignore me because they're too busy playing. Then my daughter knocks over my coffee mug and breaks it - yep, my favorite mug that I've been drinking out of everyday for the last year - sigh. This morning, I tried again but the kids kept fighting.

I've also started reading at night before bed, it's a Christian book called Crazy Love. It's a great book, but really makes you think deeply. Every time I read something of value I get really sleepy. Same thing happens from time to time when reading the bible. I get this overwhelming feeling of drowsiness. It's ridiculous if you ask me.

I'm the kind of person who can read a book in a couple hours or a couple of days depending on the size of book. Yet, here I am, I can barely get through a couple of pages. So, I started thinking about the why. Why do I get sleepy and why do I get interrupted by a million obstacles? Well, you may think I'm nuts, but I have an idea why. The more I try to strengthen my faith, the more obstacles I face. What better opportunity for the devil or evil (or whatever you want to call it) to try and break me down? I don't know about you, but it makes sense doesn't it? What better opportunity to make us stumble and fall?

In John 16:33, Jesus says: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

What do you do to get over your obstacles? How do you manage reading the bible during your day?

  2. I started a reading plan on my iPhone. Its called You Version Bible App. It was free and has various versions of the bible available. I absolutely love it. The plan I'm reading with is called Everywhere I Go: Learning to See Jesus. I get a daily devotion, then go on to read the passages for the day. It's a year long program but it's so simple. It's available for your kindle, android, etc and all the different devices can sink to each other. Then you wouldnt have to worry about the kids so much, they will just think you're on Facebook or texting. Lol

  4. I read the bible & try to remain calm, earlier, I was stuck in a room, I'm already exhausted from bible studies & people's melodrama & then to top it off, there's over six kids with a mother that can't even control them, they're loud, screaming & I want to literally pull their pants down & paddle their butts so hard they cry for weeks.

I just sat there & tried to ask myself, "What would Jesus do in a situation like this?"
The what & why's are the important questions.

Recently, I've had a non-stop four day exhaustion that wont leave & Satan knows I have mental disabilities, he even tries to speak his filthy lies in my mind & show me perverted images of people. It sickens me & due to how constant it is.

I ask Jesus & God for help regarding that & yet Satan still taunts me with his goading attempts.
I've read that God tends to prune people, so that they may become more refined...but honestly, this stuff's been going on since I was a child.

I've had over 12 near death experiences, my so-called friends would betray me. I've dealt with people & children alike that would make your kids look like little saints in comparison.

Basically, it comes down to this...let your yes be your yes & your no be your no. Anything else, does not come from the holy father. Voices in your head are often the spirit of the anti-christ trying to deceive you & you better believe that people hearing voices are infact not crazy.

It's this demonic ruled society that says they are so that they don't have to hold evil or satan accountable for the harm that's done, there are so many that openly are okay with satans existence being mentioned but if you mention or utter so much as one word of God or Jesus Christ, they get enraged.

All I'm saying is this, Satan tries to oppress us but remind him of where he's going when Jesus returns. I'll be there, to look upon his face & mock him for a thousand years like he has done to me. I want to guard that cage, as I have a very single minded faith in God, I will not listen to Satans lies anymore.

He'll try to tell you whatever you want to hear, through other spirits too, as he himself has not been cast out of Heaven yet until Michael defeats him there, that's when he gets shoved down here.

This has also not happened yet. Do you see how these horrendous things ALL stem from Satan's lies? There is not one ounce of good in him, he rebelled against God long ago, he'll get his punishment soon enough, along with his other two co-horts & all the people that refused to believe God was real & change their hearts.

Tired or not, it's more serious then you think.
